In the beautiful wine region of Rheinland-Pfalz, nestled among Germany, France and Luxembourg is this little gem of a town.
We invite you to join us once again for a weekend of great tango.
Dear tanguero friends, we are happy to invite you to our Encuentro Milonguero Sans Souci that will take place in Saarburg, Germany, a stunning location in the Rheinland- Pfalz region.
After two very difficult years, we are hoping to be able to host our event and we will keep you updated on any new developments.
2022 marks the tenth edition of our Encuentros. We organized our first event in 2011 in Montecatini Terme. In 2016 we moved our event to Saarburg keeping the same spirit, the “soul” of our encuentro, a very international environment, with good, respectful dancing and excellent music in a convivial atmosphere.
We have secured a wonderful group of talented musicalizadores who will keep us dancing all weekend. That is a guarantee!
All the participants to the previous Saarburg editions have had great praises for this location: the climatized Saarburg Stadthalle proved to be the perfect venue for the milongas, with the perfect wooden floor, perfect acoustic, lots of space in the dance-room and outside. In addition, the little town welcomed us with open arms and all the participants commented on how friendly everybody was, the hotel and restaurant staff, the shopkeepers, etc. Just to make things even more pleasant and interesting, Saarburg offers a variety of very good restaurants and prices are quite reasonable.
In short, we love Saarburg and we are delighted to be back there for the fifth time.
The encuentro 2022 will take place on the weekend 20, 21, 22 May, starting on Friday afternoon. We are also looking at organizing a pre-encuentro milonguita on Thursday night, so stay tuned.
Saarburg is particularly charming in late spring, with lots of flowers and the surrounding hills that start showing some leaves on the vineyards.
So we hope to have you with us for a great weekend in a wonderful place!
